When people (or forms) ask me how tall I am, I’ve been quoting 5’11″ as my height since the end of high school. Occasionally, I’d bemoan that I just missed the 6 foot mark.
The other day I realized that I hadn’t double-checked this height in about 7 years.
So, out of a combination of boredom and curiosity, I measured myself.
5′ 11.75″
So, I missed the coveted 6 foot mark by a quarter of an inch.
However, I think that means that I should be rounding up to 6 feet on forms, instead of rounding down to 5’11″. After all, I’m closer to six feet than five-eleven.
So, next time you ask me, I’m six feet tall.
