Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The homepage of my website is becoming a blog!
It’s been a busy week. I’m fighting a cold, which I’m sure I picked up Monday night on Marshall Street celebrating our National Championship. I have to tell you, it’s a small price to pay. We’re Number 1! I’m not a basketball fan at all, but it’s still really cool. Just to walk around campus and know we’re the best college basketball team in the country. It feels great! I guess it’s pretty pathetic that the only good thing I can say about my University is that we’re really good at basketball. But I’m grasping at straws here. If you read my article about the Newhouse school in my Rants & Raves section, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Coming to Syracuse is without question the worst decision I’ve ever made, but that just didn’t matter on Monday night. I loved it!
So, anyway, between the cold and a couple of big papers that I have hanging over my head, I haven’t been able to get much work done on my website this week. Sorry about that. I know what you’re thinking. You’re saying to yourself “Gary R. Butterworth lost interest in his website yet again. He’s done with it. Again.” That won’t happen, I promise. Not this time. Not again. I probably won’t get much work done on the site over the next week either. I have papers to work on and and Easter weekend is my rockin’ work-free weekend. I don’t have any plans yet, but since I only get 2 or 3 weekends a year when I’m in Syracuse and not working, I have to find a way to live it up. So it’ll be a week or so, but expect a huge update with tons (hundreds of pages worth?) of new content up around April 22-ish. I hope to have reviews up of the stadiums I’ve been to by then too, to go along with the pictures that are there right now.
Oh, one more thing. If you see me tonight, don’t make fun of my socks. The change machine has been out of order since at least Wednesday, so I haven’t been able to do my wash, which is why I’m wearing Dress socks with jeans and a pair of boots. Just so you know. Because I’m sure you really care.
